Faucher School of Dance -
About Us
Faucher School of Dance was conceived in 2009 and has since successfully created a professional, yet family-oriented, dance education facility for many young boys and girls. The school is committed to providing your child with the tools they need to succeed in the dance industry.   The school offers classes in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, pointe, modern, contemporary, hip hop, and acrobatics. Solo and other special choreographed pieces are also offered to students, fundraiser & community events, as well as master classes with guest artists. Past visiting artists have included Tracie Stanfield, Valery Lantratov, Ian Mckenzie, and Victor Smalley & Angel Armas to name a few. There is something for everyone, whether a student wishes to dance pre-professional, recreational, or brand new to dance at any age! We give special attention to our younger students with our exceptional children’s curriculum that places each child in the appropriate program according to age and social/school experience.
Students have been recognized in several local media publications and are past recipients of dance scholarships at competitions and conventions. Alumni have also been invited to perform with professional dance companies, college dance teams, and have been accepted into college dance programs.
Faucher School of Dance’s faculty come from diverse dance backgrounds and are always eager to work with each student that comes through our doors. The physical and social rewards of a dance education are a given, but it is the opportunity for creativity, exploration, and valuable training that set us apart from other dance education institutions.
Mission Statement
The Faucher School of Dance strives to provide excellence in dance education to all students. We aim to fill our students’ hearts & bodies with a passion and appreciation for the art of dance. It is our goal to instill confidence and proper technique. Faculty work diligently to fulfill the needs and desires of each dancer- whether it is for professional dreams or recreation. Dance education is not just about learning the steps, but a chance for children to learn social skills, team work, self-discipline, self-esteem, and goal setting. FSD can only hope that each student will always hold a piece of their dance experience in their hearts and dreams, and apply the values and lessons they have learned to their own lives!
